Saudi Arabian team Al-Ittihad is taking the international soccer transfers market by a storm! First, they landed a deal with international Portuguese super star Luis Figo followed by (almost done when writing this) a deal with Brazilian super star Ronaldo and now, they made a loan deal with Wagner, a young Brazilian attacking midfielder that is due to go to FC Barcelona once his contract with al-Ittihad is over.
All these deals were made possible thanks to the unlimited support of the current president of the club, Mr.Mansour Albalawi. He has been working non-stop for the last few years to back Al-Ittihad with top players from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
The continues work of Mr.Mansour and all these international deals has placed Al-Ittihad and Saudi Arabia on the front pages of sport newspapers all around the world; yet (and this is the funny part) most Saudi newspapers are questioning Mansour’s work and they call these deals a “Publicity stunts”. On the deal of Luis Figo, they called the whole thing a “charade” and Figo’s photo with Mansour and the club jersey a “Fan photos”, picturing Mr.Mansour as a fan who happened to run into his favorite player.
These newspapers were dumbstruck when Figo confirmed his moved to Al-Ittihad, and they shyly mentioned the truths of the made deal.
