Intel arranged an event in HolidayInn (Saudi Arabia/Dhahran) Sunday 11Dec. Since I’m the Intel KFUPM Lab manager, I got to go to help out (I’m still a small fry, so mainly I help with event management things).
It was fun. We started at 7:30 am. I went around checking the banners, mics, Attendance list, gifts, seating place …etc. The invited people started coming near 9am, which is the time we started the even.
couple of talks, Q&A, coffee breaks …. The usual. Since I had an exam on the next day, I spent most of the time studying (and now knows that its delayed. Grrr). Lunch at 12:45 pm (The dessert was great! and on the company expance XD ). and that was the end of the first group
Second group came at 3ish pm, this was a very small group(7-8 people). again same senario talks, Q&A, coffee break ….. and we finished at 7pm
I was the last leavings with one of my bosses, as I tied-up the place and called it a day.
I had the pleasure to talk to Mr.Gerald T. Seaman (ERP Engineering Manager) from Intel. Great guy, give me a couple of inputs on my career path and I got to know his career path. Also Mr.Alaa AbuNajem (my direct boss), who also told me about his career path and how what you enjoy doing now “might” hate working in later (so true, I love fixing electronic stuff but I wont take it as a career).
